Astren, Alex Age 90, of St. Louis Park, born to Fanny and Albert Astren, March 23, 1922, in Duluth, MN, died September 4, 2012. Survived by wife of 66 years, Lorraine, children, Fred Astren and Pat Bourdelle, Jeanne Astren and Warren Goldstein, grandson, Avi Goldstein, sisters-in-law, Alyce Horwitz, Marian Kiener, Margie Astren, nieces and nephews, Sandra Miller, Ronald Kiener, Marty and Greta Kiener, grand-nieces and grand- nephews. Veteran of WWII CBI Theater, owner of printing business Ad Art Advertising, lifelong member of Typographical Union, past president B'nai Emet Synagogue, past president B'nai Brith Ira Weil Jeffrey Lodge, active in many organizations. Funeral 10 AM Thursday, Sept. 6, Adath Jeshurun Congregation 10500 Hillside Lane West, Minnetonka, Shiva Thursday and Sunday 7:00 PM, Adath Jeshurun. Memorials may be sent to the Lorraine and Alex Astren Family Scholarship Fund of Adath Jeshurun or to donor's favorite charity.
